Just Because – I’m quiet – it doesn’t mean I don’t have a lot to say
Just Because – I appear happy – doesn’t mean everything’s ok
Just Because – I’m sarcastic – doesn’t mean I don’t take things seriously
Just Because – I forgive – doesn’t mean I forget
Just Because – I don’t listen to you – doesn’t mean I don’t care
Just Because – I’m gullible – doesn’t mean you can lie to me
Just Because – I’m stubborn – doesn’t mean I’m not easy going
Just Because – I don’t show my feelings – doesn’t mean I don’t have any
Just Because – I don’t say I love you – doesn’t mean I don’t
Just Because – I’m honest – doesn’t mean I’m outspoken
Just Because – I’m not like you – doesn’t mean I’m weird
Just Because – I’m unsure – doesn’t mean I’m afraid

Give them happiness, if happiness is what matters to them,
give them pleasure, if pleasure is what matters to them,
give them courage, if courage is what matters to them,
give them love, if love is what matters to them,
but never give them yourself, unless and until you matter to them.

Appreciating Everything

Appreciate those who have hurt you, because they strengthen your heart
Appreciate those who deceive you, because they improve your wisdom
Appreciate those who slander against you, because they improve your personality
Appreciate those who whip you because they arouse your will to fight
Appreciate those who abandon you, because they teach you independence
Appreciate those who make you stumble, because they strengthen your legs
Appreciate those who denounce you, because they remind you of your shortcomings
Appreciate those who give you strength.

I’ll go out there and make my mistakes. I’ll fall down, get hurt, cry, laugh, love, and get back up. I’ll stand on the highest mountaintop and go into the deepest caverns. I'll roam across the world, visit the moon and swim in outer space. I'll let my imagination run wild and let my spirit soar. Why? Because when my life flashes before my eyes in those final moments, I want to have something worthwhile to watch, with plenty of love and laughter, good times and bad. I don't want to regret a thing and I plan not to. Remember, it's not usually the things you do that you regret, it's the things you don't do and leave unsaid. Laugh out loud. Cry in the rain. Love with all your heart and soul. Get hurt. Tell the truth. Go crazy. But never forget that you only get one shot. One shot at this day, one shot at this minute. One shot at this age. One shot at life. So make sure your life is one you will enjoy watching in your final moments.

The choices we make, and the chances we take, determine our destiny.

Be soppy, be silly, laugh for no reason, cry (even you boys), turn your music up loud, forgive and forget, do cartwheels, watch the sunset, talk to old people, listen to your parents, tell everyone who means anything to you exactly how you feel, whether it's good or bad, don't hold back, fall in love, have your heart broken, dance, appreciate the bad times because they were sent for a reason and somebody else has always got it worse than you, appreciate every moment of the good times because you never know when they might be taken away, be patient, be humble, be nice, say thank you, work hard, play harder, listen - to everyone, let other cars out, eat cake, worry less, be amazed, live every day as if it's your last, dream as though you'll live forever, put your dreams into action, be helpful, be the best you can be, don't judge others, wear fancy dress, sing even if you can't, especially if you can't, learn one good joke and remember it, smile at strangers, believe in yourself, start conversations in queues, take a walk in the park, hug your friends, read books, build sandcastles, make a snowman, speak your mind, give your change to charity, send cards, make presents, talk behind people's backs, but only say nice things, take photos of everything, be passionate, stroke a pet, don't be afraid, do everything in love and in kindness, learn something new, take up a hobby, run down hills like you did when you were young, make fudge, don't speed, have picnics, roll up your trousers and paddle in the sea, play on the swings, be excited, love and allow yourself to be loved, aim to win, lose graciously, turn off the tv - talk and play games, walk barefoot, send flowers just because, don't settle, ignore all the above because it's your life and only you know how to live it for the best.

The Brick

A young and successful executive was traveling down a neighborhood street, going a bit too fast in his new Jaguar. He was watching for kids darting out from between parked cars and slowed down when he thought he saw something. As his car passed, no children appeared. Instead, a brick smashed into the Jag's side door! He slammed on the brakes and backed the Jag back to the spot where the brick had been thrown. The angry driver then jumped out of the car, grabbed the nearest kid and pushed him up against a parked car shouting, "What the hell was that all about and who are you? Just what the hell are you doing? That's a new car and that brick you threw is going to cost a lot of money. Why did you do it?" The young boy was apologetic. "Please, mister...please, I'm sorry but didn't know what else to do," He pleaded. "I threw the brick because no one else would stop..." With tears dripping down his face and off his chin, the youth pointed to a spot just around a parked car. "It's my brother," he said. "He rolled off the curb and fell out of his wheelchair and I can't lift him up." Now sobbing, the boy asked the stunned executive, "Would you please help me get him back into his wheelchair? He's hurt and he's too heavy for me." Moved beyond words, the driver tried to swallow the rapidly swelling lump in his throat. He hurriedly lifted the handicapped boy back into the wheelchair, then took out his fancy handkerchief and dabbed at the fresh scrapes and cuts. A quick look told him everything was going to be okay. Thank you and may God bless you," the grateful child told the stranger. Too shook up for words, the man simply watched the boy push his wheelchair-bound brother down the sidewalk toward their home. It was a long, slow walk back to the Jaguar. The damage was very noticeable, but the driver never bothered to repair the dented side door. He kept the dent there to remind him of this message "Don't go through life so fast that someone has to throw a brick at you to get your attention!"

God whispers in our souls and speaks to our hearts. Sometimes when we don't have time to listen, He has to throw a brick at us. It's our choice.

Don’t ever let people tell you that you aren’t good enough
Because you are.

Don’t ever give up your dreams
Because you need them.

Don’t ever compromise your morals
Because they make you who you are.

Don’t ever hide your feelings
Because someone’s willing to hear them.

Don’t ever think you’ve got it all figured out
Because the next moment you won’t.

Don’t ever live your life in the past
Because then you’ll miss out on the now.

Don’t ever let people bring you down
Because they don’t deserve to.

Don’t ever be someone you aren’t
Because then you’ll never know you who really are.

Don’t ever let someone tell you how you feel
Because it’s not their right to.

Don’t ever give up something that feels right
Because it probably is.

Don’t ever worry about the petty things
Because they just don’t matter.

Don’t ever run away from your problems
Because they always find you.

Don’t ever be afraid to take risks
Because they make life worth living.

Don’t ever let someone take away your happiness
Because it was never theirs to take.

Life isn't just about keeping score.
It's not about how many people call you
And it's not about who you've dated or haven't dated at all.
It isn't about who you've kissed,
What sport you play,
Or which guy or girl likes you.
It's not about your shoes or your hair
Or the color of your skin,
Or where you live or go to school.
In fact it's not about grades, money,
Clothes, or colleges that accept you or not.
Life isn't about if you have lots of friends or if you are alone,
And it's not about how accepted or unaccepted you are.
Life isn't about that.
But life is about who you love and who you hurt.
It's about how you feel about yourself.
It's about trust, happiness, and compassion.
It's about avoiding jealousy, overcoming ignorance
And building confidence.
It's about what you say and what you mean.
It's about seeing people for who they are and not for what they have.
Most of all it is choosing to use your life.
In a way that could have never been
achieved otherwise.
These choices are what life's about.

Never treat some one like they're second best

Never get less than 8 hours of rest

Never tell some one that they mean nothing to you

Never sue some one who doesn't deserve to be sued

Never look in the past when your futures ahead

Never check some one's pulse and still mistake them for dead

Never drink soda when water's nearby

Never say that you don't care if you die

Never trust anyone who isn't yourself

Never push photos to the back of the shelf

Never believe that you can't measure up

Never think it's empty when it's a full cup

Never act selfish just cause your mother's around

Never expect to helped when you're on the ground

And if there is anything you should never do, is pretend you don't like him/her when you love everything they do.
